What I Wish I Knew Before I started being a Real Estate Agent

 When you watch the Million Dollar Listing show it all looks so glamorous and fun to be a Realtor. What the show does not show you is all the work those agents needed to do before they got successful. I do like the show they have some great ideas for marketing and they are entertaining.

If your going to be a Real Estate Agent you need to get your brand out for potential clients to see. Marketing is a huge part of being a Realtor. I know a lot of brokerages have you pay a lot of money for their version of marketing. You are expected to create income for them and work your butt off doing it. 

I do not think like the traditional brokerage marketing does, I think of how my brand can attract new business and keep my existing business. You need to know how to be unique in your area and how to monetize that. As a Realtor you need to make money for all your efforts and hard work.

I started being a Real Estate Agent in 2000 and began sending out postcards every week. I printed them off and sent them to prospective clients. That was a long time ago and marketing has many more avenues to grow and attract clients. 

Last year I personally did 118 transactions that I made very good money with. How did I do that? By branding my services and getting the word out for a lot of people to see. 

As a Real Estate agent you also need to create many different ways to create income for your business. There is a lot more ways to make income besides buyers and sellers. As a Realtor you need to know those extra ways to be successful. 

After 20 years and 100's and 100's of transactions I wanted to share how I get my business. Year after year is produces great returns for me and keeps my clients happy.
